Job Duties &
Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support to customers, internal and external, for
Cadence SPB tools, Concept, Allegro, Specctra, OrCad Capture, & OrCad
Layout.
· Document customer service requests and report problems or bugs to R&D
· Provide installation and licensing help
· Develop and review solutions for inclusion in the Cadence knowledge
database
· Work on problems where analysis of situations or data requires problem
analysis and review. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and
practices to determine appropriate action.
· Position will support internal and external customers world-wide.
Evening and night shift work will be required.
Job qualifications (required):
· Knowledge of printed circuit board design
· Experience with printed circuit board design tools from Cadence,
Mentor, or OrCad
· Familiar with general computer Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, PC
· Fluent in English (written and verbal)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective
customer interaction.
Job qualifications (preferred):

BS/MS in EE with more
that 4 years of experience in the EDA/VLSI industry having, among other
things, worked on developing design flows especially around physical
layout and signal integrity and timing analysis of chip/package. He
should be well versed with the physical aspects of chip design and
should have good understanding of signal integrity issues and their
avoidance. Experience in power and IR drop analysis and experience in
implementation of high speed flip chip designs will be an added plus.
Past
experience in automating the flows using scripting languages like PERL,
Tcl/Tk is essential. The candidate should be self-motivated and quick
learner. The incumbent will be expected part of the Field Solutions
Creation team which is being built in India.
